Professor Abraham Engeda, Michigan State University
Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering, University of Hannover, Germany, 1987.
MSc. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Manchester, England, 1974.
Responsible for turbomachinery research and education at Michigan State University, since 1990.
His contributions have been in the design of efficient pumps, compressors and gas-turbines and in the understanding of the complex flow structure in these machines.
He received the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Fluid Machinery Award (2012) and is a Fellow of ASME.
He received the Senior Flex-Fulbright Award (2016).
He is NASA & US Air Force Faculty Fellow.
He has been Key-Note Speaker at several major conferences and events.
He organized 10 two-day short courses on Turbomachinery for industry.
He offered Design Short-Courses on Impeller/Diffuser/Volute at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology-Australia; at the Chinese Academy of Sciences-Beijing; and to Industry at various locations.

This presentation reviews the s-CO2 cycle technologies for power generation and critically assesses the recent challenges and development. The presentation mainly focuses on the challenges to develop a centrifugal compressor for the 10MWe s-CO2 Power Genset Gas-Turbine.
